Impeachment process rolls on, but few think Trump will be removed from office

WASHINGTON - The United States this week barrelled further along on a hotly partisan impeachment process that most observers say will end with both sides of the political divide even more embittered - but will not remove President Donald Trump from office.

The outcome is widely seen as certain - the Democratic Party-controlled House will impeach the President probably as soon as next week, but he will be acquitted in the Republican-controlled Senate sometime early in the New Year.
