US intel leak: Some details are hardly surprising but allies are certain to question US intel gathering

LONDON – US government officials are reportedly “shocked and reeling” from evidence of a significant leak of highly classified documents, now circulating on the Internet.

The latest security breach is the worst since former US National Security Agency rogue employee Edward Snowden – now a naturalised Russian citizen – leaked highly classified intelligence almost a decade ago.
