Some Singaporeans left for Dubai, other Gulf cities during pandemic

DUBAI - While the departure of foreign workers from Singapore for pandemic reasons is well-recorded, less so is that some Singaporeans have also left for foreign locales, citing reasons like Covid-19 restrictions as the main push factor.

Living under the restrictions felt like suffocation, says 37-year-old Singaporean Lisa A, who declined to give her full name.
