Iran's President Hassan Rouhani re-elected with 57% of vote

TEHERAN (AFP, REUTERS) - Iran's President Hassan Rouhani has won re-election with a resounding 57 per cent of the vote, the country's interior minister announced on Saturday (May 20).
"Of some 41.2 million total votes cast, Rouhani got 23.5 ... and won the election," Abdolreza Rahmanifazli said in remarks carried live by state TV. Rouhani's hardline rival Ebrahim Raisi got 15.8 million votes, he said.
He added that the results were final.
