JAKARTA - Indonesia’s highest Muslim authority has condemned a cartoon series on YouTube depicting the life of Prophet Muhammad, saying it insults Islam.
The videos depict visual images of the Prophet, which are taboo in Islam. There is also anger in Indonesia as the series puts him in a negative light by amending well-known stories from his life.
