FBI raid of Trump's home raises political temperature, prospect of more violence

While it remains premature to jump to conclusions on the political fate of Mr Donald Trump, the Aug 8 raid by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on the residence of the former US president has inflamed elements of his base.
That has raised the political temperature and the prospect of more political violence ahead of the November midterm polls, and beyond to the 2024 presidential election - especially if Mr Trump runs for the top job again.
