KYIV – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky jokingly offered US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Keith Kellogg citizenship on Sept 12, urging him to spend more time in Kyiv because Russia refrains from attacking the capital when he is in town.
“When Keith Kellogg is in Kyiv, the residents of Kyiv can sleep soundly. Thank you. I would like you to visit all cities in Ukraine,” Mr Zelensky quipped.
“I am ready to grant General Kellogg citizenship. We can give him an apartment – anything he needs, if it will prompt Russia to cease fire,” he added.
He called General Kellogg “no worse than the Patriot”, the American air defence missile systems that Kyiv uses to shoot down incoming Russian projectiles.
