LONDON – Leaders of key European countries have failed to agree on a joint response to US President Donald Trump’s decision to launch direct talks with Russia over a ceasefire in Ukraine without consulting or involving Europe.
After an emergency meeting hastily convened in Paris by French President Emmanuel Macron on Feb 17, European heads of government agreed that their continent is facing a critical challenge to its security architecture.
