Wariness over Russia's plan for de-escalation

Diplomatic efforts to end the Ukraine war have yielded a commitment from Russia to de-escalate military activities in the vicinity of Kyiv, but Ukrainian officials and the West have warned that Moscow may only be looking to continue its offensive elsewhere after the offensive on the capital grinds to a halt.
While there was no shelling of Kyiv overnight on Tuesday following a round of talks, other parts of the country continue to be subject to non-stop bombardment.
