LONDON – US President Donald Trump has registered another failure in his efforts to persuade Russian President Vladimir Putin to conclude a ceasefire deal in the Ukraine war.
After a two-hour phone conversation with his Russian counterpart on May 19, Mr Trump struggled to sound optimistic. Everything “went very well”, he claimed, and the phone call will now lead to direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia
