(REUTERS)- Security camera footage shows 68-year-old Tamara Samsonova on an allegedly sinister mission at her home in the Russian city of St Petersburg.

She is accused of killing a paralysed pensioner she was caring for, and scattering the dismembered body in bags in a nearby residential area. She's also suspected of killing a 32-year-old lodger in 2003 and getting rid of his remains in the same way.

But investigators believe that may not be the end of the story.

Police who searched her apartment found a diary in three languages detailing 11 more deaths. Samsonova is being held in custody awaiting trial.

Russian media, who are calling her the Granny Ripper, say she at first confessed to murder, then said her neighbours were responsible.
