BERLIN (AFP) - Air traffic at Hamburg airport, Germany's fifth busiest, ground to a halt Sunday (June 3) due to a power outage caused by a short circuit, a spokeswoman said.
"We are working at high speed to fix the problem," the airport spokeswoman told AFP.
Travellers were told to consult their airline before heading to the airport, whose two terminals were evacuated during the blackout which began at about 0800 GMT (4pm Singapore time).
Hamburg airport has 200 incoming and outbound flights on an average Sunday and serves more than 17 million passengers each year.
