Jewish supermarket attacked by Paris militant to reopen

PARIS (AFP) - The Hyper Cacher Jewish supermarket in Paris that became the site of a bloody hostage drama during a militant attack in January will reopen on Sunday, according to a management source.

The kosher shop has been fully renovated and will reopen with new staff, the source said on Friday.

The Hyper Cacher store, on the eastern edge of Paris, was badly damaged during the attack on Jan 9, when militant Amedy Coulibaly killed four Jewish hostages before he was shot dead when police stormed the building.

His assault came two days after two other militants killed 12 people at the offices of the Charlie Hebdo magazine.
