BERLIN - With a comedian as frontrunner, oligarchs' pulling strings from behind and candidates having their blood drawn in public for drug testing before a scheduled TV showdown in Kiev's Olympic stadium, Ukraine's ongoing presidential election campaign has been a huge spectacle.

But there is a lot at stake, not just for the country.
