LONDON – A session of the French Parliament was halted after a far-right MP shouted “Go back to Africa” as a black legislator was talking about immigration.
Mr Gregoire de Fournas, the anti-immigrant National Rally party member who made the offensive intervention, later claimed his remark had not been aimed at the black deputy but at all migrants trying to reach France by sea.
