PARIS - Officials have fished the body of a man out of the River Seine near the area on the outskirts of Paris where four other bodies were found
The office said that no link had yet been established between the newly found body and the other case.
The body, which has not yet been identified, was discovered on Aug 26 in Charenton-le-Pont, south-east of the French capital, the office said. Officials are still seeking to determine the cause of death.
French police detained a man earlier this week on suspicion of the murder of the four men, whose bodies were found on Aug 13 in Choisy-le-Roi, upriver from Charenton-le-Pont, in an area known for gay sexual encounters.
The suspect was homeless, as were two of the four victims. The other victims were a 21-year-old Algerian who lived nearby and a 48-year-old Frenchman. REUTERS
