French authorities have released a video guide for residents on how to react in the event of an attack similar to the ones in Paris on Nov. 13.

FRANCE (Reuters) - French authorities published video instructions on Thursday (Feb 18) on how to react in the event of an attack similar to the Nov 13 attacks in Paris which killed 130, and injured hundreds more.

The video is a simple step-by-step guide giving advice on the do's and don'ts in case of an armed attack and is published on social media websites.

In the video, the first reaction should be to escape, help others to do so and warn others about the danger. A second part gives advice on how to protect oneself if trapped in a danger zone.

The guide advises how to alert police and how to behave when encountering police forces on the scene of an assault. The video finally ends with practical instructions on how to help victims with first aid emergency techniques.

This video follows a leaflet published last December giving similar advice.
