LONDON - The collapse of the Dutch government after failing to reach an agreement on curbing immigration has sent shockwaves throughout Europe because it serves as a warning that the question of border and migration controls is rapidly becoming the continent’s foremost political challenge.
Although discussions over immigration now dominate all European Union (EU) summits, no consensus on tackling the problem is emerging.
