DARLINGTON - The First Class seat on a domestic train in Britain is very spacious. So spacious that a woman brought her entire desktop computer along for the ride.

She had not brought a portable laptop, but had actually set up a large iMac on the table at her seat. Talk about an office with a view.

Commuter David Hill, who works for a software company, was shocked by the unusual sight on Tuesday (July 4), just before 3pm local time, and took a photo, according to The Telegraph.

He posted the picture, which he calls a "very funny photo", on Twitter and the post has gained thousands of likes and retweets.

Mr Hill was in the same carriage travelling from Darlington to London Kings Cross, and said he had "never seen anything like it" despite travelling often for work, The Telegraph reported.

Originally from Middlesborough, he now lives in Austin, Texas, and was visiting the country for a meeting.

He told The Telegraph: "I had just been to the vestibule and walked past and saw the full iMac computer on the table."

He had to do a double take, as he was shocked to see such a big computer on such a small table.

"At first I thought she was a staff member, so I actually walked past, and then thought I had to take a photo," explained Mr Hill.

"I work for a software company and (have) been travelling on the trains for about 15 years, I have never seen anything like it. The lady had a full wired keyboard and mouse."

He was puzzled as to why someone would carry an entire desktop computer around, instead of a more portable laptop, which would have provided the same function.
