British Airways air steward got high, was found dancing naked in aircraft toilet mid-flight

A crew member on a British Airways flight from San Francisco to London was found dancing completely naked – and allegedly high as a kite – inside a business class toilet while on shift mid-flight.

British tabloid The Sun, which first reported the May 25 incident, said the 41-year-old flight attendant was supposed to be serving meals to passengers when he suddenly went missing.

The in-flight crew manager later found him completely naked and dancing inside the toilet.

“We think the guy popped pills when he was meant to be working,” The Sun quoted a crew member as saying.

The crew member said the plane was cruising at 11,200m over the Atlantic, “but this bloke seemed to be higher than anyone else”.

The flight attendant was dressed in a spare pair of pyjamas and buckled into a seat, where he stayed for the remainder of the 10-hour flight.

He was escorted out of the plane – a double-decker Airbus A380-800 – at Heathrow Airport in London by officers from the Metropolitan Police and taken to hospital.

“Officers arrested the man after he received medical attention. He was arrested on suspicion of being unfit for duty. He has since been released under investigation,” the police said in a statement.

A crew member on the flight told The Sun: “This job can do ridiculous things to people, but staging a one-man disco in a Club World toilet is a new one for me.”
