Britain and EU reach Brexit deal, but details remain elusive

LONDON - Britain and the European Union have secured a free trade deal after more than four years of gruelling and often acrimonious negotiations.

The new deal will come into force on Jan 1 and guarantee the uninterrupted flow of tariff-free goods after Britain has ceased to be an EU member-state.
