Deutsche Bank aims to cut roughly 23,000 jobs, or about one quarter of total staff, according to financial sources - while Italy's UniCredit is reported to be planning job cuts of its own.

(REUTERS) - Deutsche Bank aims to cut roughly 23,000 jobs, or about one quarter of total staff, according to financial sources.

If confirmed, it would bring the workforce at the German giant down to around 75,000 full-time positions, with layoffs mainly as a result of technology activities and by spinning off its PostBank division.
