DAVOS, Switzerland - Three renowned artists were presented with Crystal awards on Monday (Jan 22) evening.

These awards are Davos's answer to the Oscars and are given to personalities from the arts and cultural worlds who have devoted time and energies to promoting positive change in communities around the world.

This year's winners are Australian actress Cate Blanchett for her work in raising awareness of refugees as a UNHCR Global Awareness ambassador since 2016; Sir Elton John, whose foundation has raised over US$400 million to support efforts to prevent the spread and raise awareness of HIV/AIDS and support those with the disease; and Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan for his charities which support female victims of acid attacks as well as hospital wards for children in India.
