Athletes around the world are enthusiastic about the Tokyo Olympic Games, judging by the fact that several countries such as China, India and Australia are sending their largest-ever delegations to the sporting extravaganza.
But public interest is muted because of the resurgence of Covid-19 in many places, caused largely by the highly transmissible Delta variant of the coronavirus.
