ISIS militants claim they have beheaded Japanese hostage Kenji Goto
The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) group released a video on Saturday purportedly showing the beheading of Japanese hostage Kenji Goto.
In it, Goto is seen kneeling, dressed in an orange outfit, as a masked man standing beside him with a knife blames the Japanese government for his "slaughter."
It ends with a still photo of the body with the head resting on the back.

Whitney Houston's daughter revived after being found unresponsive in bathtub
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only daughter of late pop star Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown, was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia home on Saturday, but she was revived after being rushed to a hospital, police said.
The incident comes three years after Houston, a superstar who battled substance abuse issues, drowned in a bathtub in Beverly Hills, California, in February 2012.
Brown, 21, was found at about 10.20am (11.20pm Singapore time) in the bathtub at her suburban Atlanta home by her husband and a friend.

Massive $300,000 raised for elderly, disabled, mugging victim as online drive goes viral
An online fund created to help an elderly disabled man who was mugged in northern England has raised a massive £150,000 (S$300,000) in less than a week, according to a BBC report.
Alan Barnes, 67 - who has suffered from disabilities since birth after his mother contracted German measles during pregnancy, fell to the ground and broke his collarbone after he was attacked outside his home in Gateshead, north-east England. He was too afraid to return home and has been staying with his sister since the incident on Jan 25.
Local beautician Katie Cutler started a GoFundMe campaign to raise about £500 to help Mr Barnes move house. But the campaign quickly went viral.

Football: Injury-plagued Sturridge marks return with goal
Daniel Sturridge marked his long-awaited return from injury with a goal as the Liverpool striker came off the bench to score against West Ham on Saturday.
Sturridge had been named among Liverpool's substitutes for the Premier League match at Anfield after spending nearly five months out of action with a series of injuries.
Just 13 minutes after being called up, Sturridge was on the scoresheet for the first time since the opening day of the season when he collected Philippe Coutinho's pass and slotted home to put his side 2-0 ahead.

Football: Silva keeps Man City on Chelsea's heels
Spanish midfielder David Silva (above left) equalised as Manchester City prevented Chelsea pulling eight points clear at the Premier League summit in a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Loic Remy put Chelsea in front in the 41st minute, but Silva touched in a shot from Sergio Aguero four minutes later to keep the defending champions five points behind Jose Mourinho's side with 15 matches remaining.
Manuel Pellegrini's City have won only one of their last five league games, but following successive defeats by Arsenal and Middlesbrough, they at least prevented Chelsea from streaking away into the distance.
