SINGAPORE - Mr Azman spends a lot of time watching children's cartoons such as Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig and Ben 10. He watches these videos on YouTube Kids, the child-friendly mobile app of the popular streaming platform YouTube, not out of interest, but to protect his four-year-old son Nabil.
"What if he ends up watching a video telling him to kill himself, or what if porn suddenly shows up? It might start with a friendly cartoon, but something bad can appear," says the 35-year-old software educator, who declined to reveal his full name.
