Over the years, residents in Singapore have on occasion complained about strange, inexplicable smells, such as a chemical stench, wafting into their homes.
And in many cases, it has been hard to identify them initially, because by the time the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrives at the scene, the wind would have blown the odour away.
