The ITSkins Spectrum Case is not only the cheapest case in this shoot-out, it is also the thinnest and lightest one.

While its looks may not inspire confidence - a colleague quipped that it is like a $10 "pasar malam" silicon case - the case uses thermoplastic polyurethane polymer that is said to be able to withstand drops from 2m. In addition, air pockets on the case's four corners help disperse shock on impact, while its raised bezel in front protects the phone from face-down falls.
