Singtel reveals iPhone 7 price plans

SINGAPORE - Price plans for the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were released in Singapore on Saturday (Sept 10).

Singtel was the first to announce its prices for the two new models of Apple phones launched this week.

Both phones come in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB versions.

The price for the 32GB iPhone 7 ranges from $0 to $698, depending on the mobile service plan the customer subscribes to.

For the Combo 2 plan, with 200 minutes of outgoing call time and 2GB of data at $42.90, the phone is priced at $568.

For the iPhone 7 Plus, prices ranged from $0 to $878 for the 32GB model. For the Combo 2 plan, the price is $748.

Customers can get the phone for free if they sign up for Combo 12, which has unlimited outgoing call time and 12GB of data at $239.90 a month.

The highest priced offering is the 256GB iPhone 7 Plus at $1,188 with the Combo 1 plan, which has a monthly subscription of $27.90.

The phones are also available with Easy Mobile, Singtel's customisable mobile plans.

Prices range from $14 to $1,144 depending on the phone model and plan chosen.

The three local telcos - Singtel, StarHub and M1 - said they received "strong" and "healthy" interest in the handsets after online registration started on Thursday.

With no mobile service plan, the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 starts from $1,048, while the 5.5-inch 7 Plus starts from $1,248.

The phones comes in silver, gold, rose gold and black. The jet black version is available only in the 128GB and 256GB version.
