SINGAPORE -Users of Samsung Pay, the South Korean tech giant's mobile e-payment, here will soon be able to earn points from transactions made using the service when Samsung Rewards launches in Singapore on Friday, Sept 15.
Samsung announced the launch of the three-tiered loyalty programme here on Friday (Sept 8). Singapore will be the first South-east Asian country where it will be rolled out.
Reward points can be redeemed for gift vouchers, such as a $5 Grab e-voucher, from participating merchants. Alternatively, users can play in-app games to win items, such as Samsung Gear Fit2 (worth $298).
Users start at Bronze tier, which nets them 10 points per transaction, followed by Silver after 10 transactions. Hitting 30 transactions gains them Gold status, which gives them 30 points per transaction.
Reward points are capped at 50 transactions per calendar month, and points earned are valid for up to six months.
