SINGAPORE - Being a 20-something is a rarity for websites. Internet pioneers such as social website Friendster and Web host Geocities did not make it beyond two decades, but on Friday, a virtual pet website that once was a craze among Singaporeans, called Neopets, will turn 20.
Neopets is like Tamagotchi, but players create and care for their virtual pets on a Web browser. Players can buy - using real money or virtual currency earned via in-game activities - virtual items to interact with them.
