SINGAPORE - Looking good in "selfies" come with a price, at $1,399 to be exact. The latest in Casio's selfie range, the Exilim EX-TR70, will be available tomorrow.
The 11.1-megapixel selfie camera sports new features, such as Make-up Plus Technology for video.
The feature smoothens users' skin tone and complexion without sacrificing the details of users' hair and eyelashes. Make-up Plus Technology was only available in the photo mode of the new camera's predecessor TR60.
Other features include Advanced Make-up Mode for photo and video taking. A new function within the feature brightens the skin tone and gives a rosy tinge to the cheeks.
A Selfie Pad sensor on the side of a touchscreen 3-inch display helps users shoot selfies with ease. The camera also sports a 21mm wide angle lens to accommodate more people when taking a "wefie".
Weighing a mere 149g, its compact size fits nicely into any user's palm and a small clutch bag. It comes in three colours: gold, pink and white.
Casio's selfie-centric Exilim TR cameras, first launched in 2011, was reportedly credited for the Japanese firm's record group operating profit in 2015 - its first in nine years.
