MANILA- The excitement is mounting in the Philippines as tens of thousands endure the baking mid-day heat for a public viewing of the Pacquiao-Mayweather mega-match in Marikina, a suburb east of Manila.
Hats, sunglasses, t-shirts and newspapers provide scant protection against the scorching sun.
It is far, far away from the MGM Grand, where the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather is being held, but the mood is jubilant. No prizes for guessing who they are all rooting for: national hero Pacquiao.
