Race 1 (1,000m)

(2) WILLIAM’S WOMAN stayed on well for second to Calanque at Durbanville on Sept 27. She has no weight on her back and a good draw this time. Close to winning.

(3) DIGBY never runs a bad race. He ran fourth to Gold Giboski last time despite a poor draw. Will go very close from a neat draw.

(4) MOODY BLUE ran a cracking second to Caribbean Gold on Oct 5. On his best form, he could certainly be dangerous in the finish.

(5) SIMBINE needed his last run on Oct 5. It was his first run in the Western Cape at Durbanville. He should improve nicely.

Race 2 (1,500m)

(2) ONE DANCE ran a terrific race behind Eisteddfod at Durbanville on Sept 27. She is super consistent, has drawn well. Step-up in trip to 1,500m will be no problem at all.

(10) LILTING SONG ran an improved race behind Red Beryl on Oct 5. The wide draw here will not make it easy, but with some luck in running, she will have a say.

(5) LADY VERITAS caught the eye very late when low flying for fourth behind Red Beryl on Oct 5. Well drawn, she will also relish the step-up in trip back to 1,500m.

(1) SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE was green on debut but still managed to finish just under five lengths behind Calanque. The step-up in trip and the good draw will certainly help her chances.

Race 3 (1,800m)

(1) KONNICHIWA ran a great second to Yamazaki on Aug 30. He steps up in trip to 1,800m and has a good draw. Right in the mix.

(2) CAPRANICA has been rested for 108 days. He ran a fair race behind Bruh at Scottsville on July 9. Blinkers on and Richard Fourie has been booked to ride. If he does not need the run badly, he will go close.

(7) JOSHUA ran a much better race last time behind Coco’s Hero on Sept 27. He should be among the places on his best form.

(9) ERIC LIDDELL has been rested and gelded. He can improve with the step-up in trip to 1,800m.

Race 4 (1,800m)

(3) BENEATH THE CLOUDS was caught very late when second to Princess Of Bayeux at Durbanville on Sept 27. It was her first run back after a small break. Big chance from a handy draw.

(2) HUNGA TONGA won a good race on Sept 22. She was given three points for that impressive win. She will be competitive again from a decent draw.

(1) PENTOLINA finished like a train to run second behind Hunga Tonga last time. There should be no excuses for this filly from a good draw and step-up in trip to 1,800m.

(6) LAVENDER BAY is the value horse in this tricky race. Blinkers are off, she ran a solid third to Hunga Tonga last time. On her best form, she could easily win a race like this.

Race 5 (1,800m)

(7) BETTER MAN got a great ride by Fourie when beating King’s Quest in a driving finish at Durbanville on Sept 3. On his best form, he can win again.

(9) FUTURE FREE could be absolutely anything. He flew past them all last time to win by just over two lengths on Sept 13. Well related, he is getting better with every start.

(8) BATON ROUGE tries hard, he is always consistent at this level. He could sneak into the quartet on his best form.

Race 6 (2,400m)

(2) TWO A PENNY stayed on well to finish just over three lengths behind Princess Of Bayeux on Sept 27. The step-up in trip to 2,400m should be no problem at all.

(3) TWICE THE MASTER was well ridden by the apprentice at his win on Sept 7. With no weight on his back, he should run a cracker.

(1) SANSA STARK is much better than her recent start behind Princess Of Bayeux on Sept 27. The step-up in trip, good draw and low handicap should help her improve tremendously.

(9) TOTHEMOONANDBACK ran a much better race over this trip at Durbanville on Sept 7. If he can bring that run to the track again, he could sneak into the quartet at a decent price.

Race 7 (1,600m)

(8) TENPENNY made up good ground late to finish third to Pinot Grigio last time at Durbanville on Sept 13. With some luck in running from a tricky draw, he will be flying at the finish.

(4) INDUSTRIALSTRENGTH is as honest as they come. He stayed on well for second behind Mente Et Manu on Sept 22. He will be just off the speed early, and will be low flying late.

(5) UMFULA needed his last run back on Oct 5, after a long break. He was doing some good work late at the finish behind Handsome Prince. He will be a fitter horse for this, he could certainly trouble them on his best form.

(2) HANDSOME PRINCE bounced back to his best at Durbanville on Oct 5. Given three points for that impressive win, he can easily win again.

Race 8 (1,500m)

(3) DELTA PRIDE powered away from the field to win in great fashion at Durbanville on Sept 27. With Fourie staying on, he will be very hard to beat.

(2) ASTRONOMICAL BOY won his maiden impressively despite being drawn wide on Sept 13. He will love the step-up in trip to 1,500m. From a neat draw, he will press Delta Pride all the way to the line.

(4) PRINCE OF TIBET has run two excellent races in succession. He stayed on well for second behind Mela Strength on Oct 8. He can run a place on his best form.

(6) DEVIL A SAINT could be the value horse here for the quartet. He ran a super fifth behind Major Master on Sept 9. He has dropped even further in the ratings, watch him closely.

Race 9 (1,000m)

(3) OCTOBER STORM got nailed on the line by Steadfast at Durbanville on Sept 22. He is a young horse with lots of ability. From a neat draw, he will be hard to beat.

(2) MAGICAL PLACE was well supported when a fading fifth in the same race as October Storm last time. If the speedster can get away from the field at the right time, he will be competitive.

(9) DAME OF TRIX won her race in the boardroom on Oct 5. The wide draw will make a repeat tough, but if she gets some luck in running early, she can certainly finish among the places at a decent price.

(8) FORT RED stayed on well for third at Durbanville on Sept 27. With no weight on his back, he could sneak into the quartet.
