STOCKHOLM (AFP) - Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov beat Italy's Fabio Fognini 6-3, 7-6 to make the Stockholm ATP final on Saturday (Oct 21) to consolidate his bid to play in a first end-of-season Masters.
Dimitrov climbed fifth ahead of Marin Cilic in the race to qualify for the end-of-season Masters in London next month with Roger Federer, Raael Nadal, Alexander Zverev and Dominic Thiem having confirmed their places.
It also booked him a match-up with the winner of the other semi-final contested later between Argentina's Juan Martin Del Potro or the Spaniard Fernando Verdasco.
