PARIS (AFP) - David Goffin became just the second Belgian man to reach the French Open quarter-finals on Wednesday when he defeated Ernests Gulbis of Latvia 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, 6-3.
Goffin, the 12th seed, will face Austrian 13th seed Dominic Thiem for a place in the semi-finals.
Filip Dewulf was the first Belgian man into the last eight in Paris in 1997.
