Swimming: S'pore synchronised swim team finishes 19th at Fina World Championships

KAZAN - The Singapore synchronised swimming team has finished 19th out of 25 competing teams at Fina World Championships on Saturday.
At the synchro team tech prelims held in Kazan, the Republic's team of Rayna Buckle, Natalie Chen, Stephanie Chen, Gwyneth Goh, Nadine Khor, Shona Lim, Miya Yong and Debbie Soh scored 71.5776 points.
Although the team failed to qualify for the final, this is the first time Singapore had scored more than 70 points in the event at the world championships.
Hosts Russia led the prelims with 95.1829 points, followed by China (92.1032) and the Ukraine (91.8720). The top 12 teams qualified for the final on Monday.
