NEW YORK - United States broke their own world record in the men's team pursuit at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Salt Lake City on Sunday, winning the event in three minutes 32.49 seconds.

The trio of Casey Dawson, Emery Lehman and Ethan Cepuran improved upon the previous mark of 3:33.66 they set in January 2024.

The team from Norway finished 2.71 seconds behind while China were third in 3:36.65.

The American team previously won the world championships in the event in March. REUTERS
