SINGAPORE - Singapore Athletics (SA) will give national pole vaulter Rachel Yang a five-figure sum after admitting that the 37-year-old was "provided with information which was confusing" and led to the assistant marketing manager being unable to compete in last year's Asian Games.

In a joint statement signed by Yang and SA executive director Malik Aljunied on behalf of the association on Wednesday (Nov 27) - following mediation in the State Courts - the governing body for Singapore track and field said it "regrets that Rachel missed the opportunity to represent Singapore in the 2018 Asian Games".
