SINGAPORE - The Republic's gymnasts have ended their campaign on a high note, winning the rhythmic group all-around gold at Bishan Sports Hall on Sunday afternoon.

The quintet of Dawne Chua, Noelle Goh, Ann Sim, Edlyn Ho and Alison Tang scored 27.700 points to emerge victorious.

Malaysia won the silver with a 27.400 showing while Thailand finished third with 22.150.

As there were only three teams in the competition, only the top two teams were awarded medals.

"We knew that it was going to be a tough fight today. Anything can happen and we focused on doing our best instead of competing with the rest," said Dawne, 17.
