SINGAPORE - Singapore won gold in the men's trap team event at the National Shooting Centre on Friday afternoon, on the final day of the shooting competition at the SEA games.

After eight years without a gold in the team event, Zain Amat, Choo Choon Seng and Lin Hejun secured Singapore's third triumph in men's team trap at the Games in the last decade, after winning in 2005 and 2007.

The Singapore trio came in first with a combined score of 343. Malaysia's Chen Seong Fook, Ng Beng Chong and Bernard Yeoh took the silver with 329 points while the Philippines' Eric Ang, Hagen Alexander Topacio and Miguel David Laperal received the bronze after an effort of 324.

The men's trap individual event continues on Friday afternoon.
