DORTMUND, Germany - Following is reaction after France drew 1-1 with Poland in their Euro 2024 Group D match on Tuesday.
France coach Didier Deschamps: "We have to accept it even if we did what we did by creating the chances. At least we’re qualified and we know when we’ll play. A new competition will start. We’re not going to live with regrets. We could have been more efficient, we were not able to double our advantage."
France midfielder Adrien Rabiot: The evening is frustrating, we didn't do enough to win tonight. We didn't do enough. Their goalkeeper was good, we faced strong opponents, but we have to do much better to score. We have not achieved our objective of finishing in first place."
Poland coach Michal Probierz: "I would like to thank the fans for being here despite us being knocked out. We tried to fight to the end and it was a tough game. We had spells when we played very well, this is how we would like to play football. It is a pity we didn't manage to qualify out of the group stage." REUTERS
