Time to tune in to the Midnight Show

Race 1 (1,200m)

(7) MOLTEN ROCK is ready to score. She should win this if she does not race at Greyville on July 12.
(1) ERIK’S GIRL is only modest, but she can earn some money in a race of this nature.
(2) JACK’S LEGACY makes her debut but would not be a surprise winner on her home track. Her stable companion (3) YOUNG GENERAL did not show much on debut but is likely to be a lot smarter.

Race 2 (1,600m)

(3) ME AND YOU showed good improvement in her second start. She can go one better but it is a competitive-looking race.
(1) EMPRESS OF PEACE has improved with blinkers and will be a threat.
(6) TREX ON FIRE has some fair form and could make the frame.
(7) UP AND UP has not been reliable but is capable of scoring.

Race 3 (1,600m)

(6) MIDNIGHT SHOW showed improvement with blinkers and the step-up in distance. He can go one better.
(3) JIMMY VEGA is improving and should be a real threat yet again.
(8) PUTTHELIGHTSOUT was an expensive failure on July 8 when third, but can go better.
(4) KOVIL attracted betting support last time and was not beaten too far, so he could likely make the frame with improvement.

Race 4 (1,600m)

(1) DELAWARE RIVER has not been beaten too far in her recent starts and could win a race like this.
(3) KORTVANDRAAD is consistent and has every chance of scoring from her good draw.
(2) PEARL IN HER CROWN put up a decent performance last time but has tended to be unreliable.
(4) PRETTY ANALIA is arriving for this race after scoring on June 18, but she is also not the reliable type.

Race 5 (1,600m)

(1) KENSAL GREEN has won three of her last five starts. She gives weight to all her rivals but can score again.
(6) RUSSIAN NOBILITY should like this distance and can contest the finish.
(7) ONETWOBUCKLEMYSHOE needed her last run and should make good improvement.
(8) LADY SABRINA is not reliable but can be competitive when in the right mood.

Race 6 (2,600m)

Open event. Trainer Erico Verdonese has his yard in good form and both his runners are capable of scoring.
(2) DJ JUNIOR is in better form at the moment.
(1) DECEPTION PASS is a one-paced galloper but has a chance over this course and distance.
(4) EUPHRATES and (6) STOP THE TRAFFIC are all in good shape and capable of scoring, so keep a close eye on them.

Race 7 (1,200m)

(2) LOST FOR WORDS is talented and has won three of her last four starts. She can score again.
(3) HATHIGHWAYTOTHESKY struggled in a better race than this last time and can bounce back to beat these rivals on the turf this time.
(7) MYSTICAL MISS is consistent but is battling to actually win it.
(6) SHE’S ALL MINE was disappointing last time but won two starts ago over this trip. Keep an eye on her.

Race 8 (1,200m)

(3) BRIGITTE ANNE showed what she is capable of with an effortless maiden win. She may well follow up and beat these rivals.
(2) TRIP OF FAITH is well drawn and should be a threat once again.
(5) SAKURA HANAMI is unreliable but is also not out of it.
(6) WINTER IN AUCKLAND won on July 11. Watch her.
