Race 1 (1,400m)

(2) FONTE did too much too soon last time and that run is best ignored. Her jockey gets the opportunity to make amends over a course and distance that should suit and she can bounce back to score.
(1) LADY LIMONCELLO has been a bit of a disappointment of late on the Polytrack and could do a lot better back on the grass.
(3) TRICKLE CHARGE can show some improvement over this distance.
(4) WITCHING HOUR is another contender in the race that looks likely to prefer the turf and must be respected.

Race 2 (2,000m)

(2) MATTER OF TRUST has only been modest in two local starts that were on the Polytrack. Jockey Muzi Yeni rides her this time and improvement looks very likely.
(1) GIMMETHEGOLD is in good form and would not be a surprise winner.
(4) CAPRANICA and (5) LUCA DA WHEELS are capable of bouncing back to score in a very open looking race.

Race 3 (2,000m)

(1) ZATARA MAGIC is clearly the class horse of the race but returns from a break, so his fitness will need to be taken on trust.
(3) FIREALLEY has held form of late and should be able to contest the finish.
(4) BAD MEDICINE flopped last time but can be a real threat this course and distance.
(6) WILD FIG has won his last three starts, so must be respected for that.

Race 4 (1,000m)

A very interesting race as there are some fillies that were impressive on the Polytrack at their last outings.
(4) CARNIVAL showed she is improving with a very easy maiden win at her last start, and can have more to offer.
So too could (2) PRETTY AWESOME who won on debut in fine style.
They take on some in-form horses like (3) BASINGSTOKE, who found good betting support when making all last time.
(7) QUEEN OF JAZZ returns to a course and distance that clearly suits and is another to consider.

Race 5 (1,400m)

(2) SILVAN MISTRESS showed a disliking for the Polytrack in her last two starts. Hopefully that has not soured her to racing as she is talented and quite capable of winning a race. It is an open-looking race.
Stable companion (1) SILVA CITY is not reliable but ran a cracker last time and must be respected.
(5) AQUARIUS and (6) EAST COAST GIRL could also be worth considering.

Race 6 (1,400m)

(8) PERFECT IMPACT has won both local starts since joining trainer Dean Smith, both on the Polytrack but it is worth noting he was runner-up to Miami Summer earlier in his career and that form is good enough for this race.
(5) OVERTURE has been crying out for the turf and will have his supporters to beat the selection.
(1) STARS IN HEAVEN and (2) WORLD CHOICE are all coming off disappointing runs but can bounce back.

Race 7 (1,600m)

(3) KENTUCKY LASSIE could be returning to her best and does like this track and trip.
(2) VOLARE E MAMBO is better than her last run would suggest and can bounce back.

(6) GREEK HEIRESS has improved of late and could score.

(5) ROYAL MERMAID is distance-suited and was not beaten far in her recent starts.

Race 8 (2,400m)

(2) MASTEROFTHEBAROQUE was a well backed recent maiden winner. That was on the Polytrack but he did quicken well and might follow up in this stronger race.
(4) SAN QUINTIN and (5) OSMIUM are in good form and should not be far away at the finish.
(6) ALADO’S PRIDE could have one more win in him and deserves respect.

Race 9 (2,000m)

(1) CRIMSON TYPHOON was a close-up second over course and distance last time. She has improved in a tongue-tie and Keagan de Melo replaces the apprentice.
Biggest threat is likely top weight (6) NOCTAMBULIST who was a beaten favourite over course and distance last time. Richard Fourie, fresh from a trip to Japan, takes over from the apprentice.
(3) FUTURE PROSPECT is a lightly raced mare who has come good at recent outings. She gets weight from the above mentioned and should be competitive.
(4) AFTER THE FIRE shows some promise and has a handy weight. She can upset.

Race 10 (2,000m)

(7) LANDOFTHERISINGSUN has run smart races over shorter in his two local starts. He stays this trip well and at best should be a strong contender.
(9) SALANI KAHLE got a big jump up the ratings for his second place behind Curious Girl in the Grade 1 SA Derby and may well have needed his comeback run.
(2) CAPTAIN WEST has shown up well in two starts over a mile at recent outings. He must be a contender on his best form.
(1) PRINCE OF TROY made steady improvement leading into his latest win. He does step up in class but gets weight all round.
 

Race 11 (1,800m)

(12) WOOD WORLD is a Fairview visitor who drops in class. With a 4kg apprentice up he should have a strong chance.
(6) LET IT ROLL is an improving three-year-old who showed up well first run out of the maidens and the trip will suit.
(11) RUN TO RIO is seldom out of the money and can turn the tables on Power Star and Jazz Festival.

(14) JAZZ FESTIVAL has been knocking at the door and is due a change of fortune.

Race 12 (1,800m)

(2) VAANS SPIRIT has not fared worse than second in her three starts since shedding her maiden.
(10) ZENA ROSE has been trying further of late but is not staying the trip. Shorter trip should suit.
(4) GOLDEN ANGEL was upstaged by stablemate Sesame in spite of the turnaround in weights but is holding form well.
(9) PRINCESS TRIPPI showed up well first time out of a weak maiden but is lightly raced and gets first-time blinkers with Fourie up.

Race 13 (1,400m)

(4) ESTEEMED made a smart return to racing after over a year’s break. He looks to be more than useful from a top stable.
(9) MALMESBURY MISSILE has been racing in the highest echelons of late and takes a big drop in class. If anywhere his best he will be a strong contender.
(3) KAIBOY steps up in trip but was much improved last time. A factor if he sees out the extra.
(5) GO GRAYSON GO is likely to set a searching pace and with a light weight he could surprise.

Race 14 (1,200m)

(8) BISON WARRIOR was a comfortable maiden winner last time and the form of that win has panned out well.
(10) THE SWAN SONG looks held by Bison Warrior on their first encounter but can turn the tables.
(7) CONNOISSEUR made sudden improvement when down in class and back on the turf. He has a money chance again.

(5) KAAPSE KLOPSE is holding form well but all of his recent starts have been on the Poly which may be a concern.

Race 15 (1,000m)

(5) RUBY RISING is seldom out of the money and goes well over this trip. Given some luck in running she should be in the firing line.
(7) FLEUR DE LING has only been out of the money once in nine starts. There should not be much between the top two on their last meeting.
(8) FASCINATION has been runner-up at her last two. She has had a two-point raise in the handicap but is a contender.
(9) SUMMER WINTER and (4) MAGICAL SKY have shown their best on the Poly but both go very well this trip.
