SINGAPORE - Table tennis player Jason Chee was the toast of the 2017 Asean Para Games (APG), with many Singaporeans inspired and moved by his heroic comeback from losing his right eye to cancer to win the Class 2 singles gold, his first individual title at the event.
But his supporters, many of whom cheered him on as he battled Thailand's Thirayu Chueawong in the final round-robin match in Kuala Lumpur, will not see him at the biennial event next year.
