RIO DE JANEIRO (AFP) - Chinese weightlifting superstar Lu Xiaojun set a new snatch world record in the men's 77kg weightlifting at the Olympics on Wednesday.
Defending champion Lu, wearing gold shoes, lifted 177 kg to beat his own record of 176 kg, set in 2013.
Lu, 32, is bidding for his second Olympic gold medal following his first place finish in London four years ago.
