Oliver ready to bounce back to his best

Race 1 (1,400m)

(4) MEET THE KING ran third last time. He will love the step-up to 1,400m and, with a good draw, he will be hard to beat.

(7) EUGENIUS ran on for fourth last time. He will enjoy the step-up in trip and has a money chance.

(6) IGNITE THE FIRE ran a much better race when fifth last time. He should be among the places.

(5) DANCE TO THE SUN stayed on nicely for fourth last time. He could sneak into the quartet.

Race 2 (1,400m)

(7) MIAMI SUMMER was drawn poorly last time but flew home to finish second. He will love the step-up in trip to 1,400m and, with the right run in transit, he will be hard to beat.

(1) JOUEUR DE FLUTE got pipped on the line last time. He will go close to winning from a neat draw.

(3) KLEIN KAROO was well-supported in the market last start when he finished third. He gets a good draw again.

(8) CEDAR POINT finished third in the same race as Miami Summer last time. Though he has a tricky draw to beat, he looks progressive and can run on late.

Race 3 (1,250m)

(2) OLIVER has run three excellent races in succession. He stayed on well for second last time at Durbanville. Top jockey Richard Fourie sticks with this gelding and, from a neat draw, he will go very close to winning.

(4) BLACK EAGLE quickened up to beat a decent field last time. He will be right there in the finish.

(6) POWERANDTHEGLORY needed his run back from a long break last time. Though he wants more ground, he could still sneak into the placings.

(5) LA PULGA has been off the track for 178 days. This will be on the short side for him, but he has lots of ability, so watch him closely.

Race 4 (1,250m)

(1) CALANQUE won well at Durbanville last time. From a neat draw, she could easily win again.

(5) GIRL LIKE US did not have much luck when finishing fifth last start. She has a wonderful turn of foot and, from a neat draw, she will be flying home late.

(8) GARDEN OF EDEN bounced back to her best form last time. If she can bring that performance again, she will be competitive.

(10) MISS WILLIAM stayed on for third in the same race as Girl Like Us and Garden Of Eden on Oct 8. She has a poor draw to beat but, with some luck in the running, she will make them all work for victory.

Race 5 (1,250m)

(3) CARIBBEAN GOLD won easily last time. From a neat draw, she could win again.

(5) PUSHING LIMITS quickened up smartly to win last time. She gets a good draw again and, if she can build on that last run, she will have a big winning chance.

(4) SIRIANO was given a great ride by Fourie to win on Sept 22. He will be competitive again. Include him in all bets.

(8) OZARK stayed on for third last time. If he can beat the tricky draw, he could sneak into the quartet.

Race 6 (1,400m)

(5) BEACH VERSE stayed on late for fourth last time. The blinkers have been fitted and, with some luck in the running, she will be hard to beat.

(2) ELUSIVE GIFT had to fight hard to exit the maiden ranks last time. From a neat draw, she will be competitive again.

(4) BLACK PATH ran well last time. With the light weight, she will be doing good work late.

(3) ONCIDIUM has a good place chance in this field. She ran a good fifth last time. The drop in trip to 1,400m and the good draw will help her chances.

Race 7 (1,400m)

(1) EISTEDDFOD won impressively last time. She gets a good draw and steps up to 1,400m, so she could easily follow up.

(2) RED BERYL powered home late to win well last time. She will go close to winning from a neat draw.

(5) DIAMOND BOMBER caught the eye late when fifth in a strong field last time. Although she has a big weight of 62.5kg to shoulder, her chances must be respected at this level.

(9) CATCH A PENNY ran fifth last time. She can be a tricky ride but, if she gets some luck in the running from a bad draw, she could finish in the quartet.

Race 8 (1,400m)

(4) FOX ON THE RUN won well last time. He will love the step-up in trip to 1,400m and will be hard to beat from a good draw.

(5) CARRIACOU has run two excellent races in succession. He enjoys this track and trip, and will keep them all honest.

(10) POMP IT UP won well on Aug 13. If he does not need the run badly and can beat the bad draw, he will be involved in the finish.

(1) BOOGIEFIED is consistent. From a good draw, he should get the run of the race.
