OCBC and NParks launch scheme to encourage safe cycling

Ahead of next month's mass cycling event OCBC Cycle, the bank and National Parks Board (NParks) on Saturday launched a new scheme to encourage safe cycling.

Around 200 cyclists turned up for the first Ride Safe workshop and the 11km ride around NParks' Park Connector Network, from East Coast Park to Gardens by The Bay. The ride was followed by an outdoor movie screening, which attracted 500 people.

Under the programme, three safe cycling workshops will be conducted annually for three years. NParks is working with experienced riders from cycling interest groups such as LoveCyclingSG to conduct the workshops.
