Instagram@Rio: Day 2

Day 2 at the Olympic Games in Rio saw some updates on social media platform Instagram from those at the Games.

Singapore's very own Olympic marathon runner, Neo Jie Shi, "instagrammed" a picture of herself in her race attire, during her last run preparing for her actual race.

Minister for Social and Family Development Tan Chuan Jin - who is also the President of the Singapore National Olympic Committee - put up a picture of himself ironing with Singaporean badminton player Liang Xiaoyu and sailor Denise Lim.

Hidilyn Diaz, a weightlifter from the Philippines, posted a picture of herself expressing her excitement to be at the Olympic Games before she won silver in the 53kg class.

Ellie Downie, a 17-year-old British gymnast, posted about her scary fall. She proceeded to compete.

Canadian tennis star Genie Bouchard showed herself smiling ear to ear while standing in front of an arena with the caption 'Olympic dreams'.

Czech Republic's tennis player Lucie Safarova, posted a picture of herself and partner Barbora Strycova winning against the Williams sisters.
