Gingerella bounced back from a near eight-month break to score a gutsy victory in the main race last night - the $85,000 Class 2 event over the Polytrack 1,000m.

The Michael Clements-trained five-year-old daughter of former Kranji glamour galloper Gingerbread Man had been rested after a bone chip surgery, following her encouraging fifth in the $800,000 Group 1 Lion City Cup last May.
